25 Fall and Halloween Party Ideas

Scrolling thru my phone the other day I was treated to a fun (although disgusting) Halloween Party tray featuring lots of meat, blood, guts…you know…party decor. It reminded me of the skeleton platter I made from pallet wood back in 2017 for a Halloween themed baby shower.
This was my pallet serving tray with a bag of plastic bones from Walmart, a styrofoam tombstone and a couple of crows. The Pallet Wood Tray Cheese Platter was a hit and so easy to put together.
People have so much creativity and imagination, I wanted to see what else is out there to see if I could inspire you either for your Halloween Party this week or any Fall gathering. Pumpkins, scary stuff, spiders and ghosts are heavily featured here so I hope you enjoy.
If I could find the original poster on these ideas I have included it with a link back to their website. Often times an idea was just a picture on Pinterest. If you can find an original poster that I haven’t included please let me know and I’ll add the link.
From the Food Network , I bring you this very disgusting, perfect Halloween party meat tray. I love barbequed ribs but I’ve never seen them featured in quite this way. Italian sausage intestines and a cream cheese, cheddar and prosciutto skeleton head, really set this meat tray apart and would be the hit of your Halloween party.

Could not find the original poster of this shrimp cocktail in a styrofoam head. Make sure you use bandages and cocktail sauce to complete the look.

Guacamole never looked so good?! Such a great chip and dip platter. All you need is a pumpkin to take this from a delicious dip to kind of disgusting.
I love a savory meatball. These Meatball eyes are from a contributor at Allrecipes. A great party idea or dinner for the kids before they head off trick or treating.

Like the skeleton head on the meat tray, this hand also looks like it’s sculpted from cream cheese and cheese sticks? then wrapped with prosciutto. What a tasty little cracker dip.

This meat tray was similar to the tray in my feed that inspired this entire post. Fried chicken, wings, sausage it’s going to be a bloody 😀 fun party.
This Spider Web Taco Dip is from Pastime Palatable. Decorate your favorite taco dip with a plastic spider and sour cream.

Couldn’t find the original poster on this one either but I think you can figure out how to make these ghostly fruit skewers. Fantastic for a kid’s Halloween party especially when you want them to cut down on all the candy.
These Halloween Party spider cupcakes are from Chungah at Damn Delicious. Sprinkles, eyeballs and black licorice make these into the most tasty spiders you’d ever want to eat.
For the adult Thanksgiving or Halloween party, these Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes are from a contributor at Allrecipes and would look good on any table.
I do love cheesecake and this Spiderweb pumpkin cheesecake has the spices of the season and the spiderweb decor just brings it to the next level.
These Halloween dirt cups made with oreos, chocolate and vanilla pudding and gummy worms are from My Reliable Recipes
This Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake dip is from Farm Flavor using cream cheese, pumpkin pie spice , whipping cream and more. This one is for kids of all ages.
That Cheesecake Dip looked so good I checked out what other Halloween recipes Farm Flavor was offering up and I came across these non alcoholic witches brew concoctions.

I couldn’t find the original poster of this cute little watermelon monster fruit tray but he shouldn’t be too hard to recreate. He is also much friendlier than some of the meat platter alternatives.
Candy Corn and Rice Krispie Treats are from Joy the Baker. These are covered with candy corn and salted peanuts.
The Food Network brings another take on Rice Krispie Treats pairing them with eyeballs and brownies.
Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa shows off her Halloween S’mores with homemade marshmallows. What exactly makes them Halloween? I don’t know, except for the sweet decadence.
Cathy at Herbs and Flour creates ghosts from Meringue. If you’ve never made meringues, you’ll find them super easy and delicious and they only use 4 ingredients.
Also from The Food Network, I bring you Melting Witches Bark made from candy wafers, pretzels and other toppings.
The next 4 ideas could be for Halloween but why limit yourself to just one spooky day. Consider all of these recipes for Fall into Thanksgiving.
The first one I have is a Pumpkin Layer Cake from Recipe Tin Eats. It’s covered with toffee and pecans and cream cheese icing (my favorite).
Or a Pumpkin Sourdough Bread from Simply Recipes. You will need a sourdough starter for this one so you may have to start weeks ahead of when you’ll need it, but look how beautiful this bread loaf is.
For a party or for a special breakfast, these Apple Cider donuts from The Kitchn will be sure to please.
And did I save the best for last? Maybe. This is a Pumpkin Cheesecake Lasagna from Emily Recipes. Check out her recipe as she not only gives instructions for the basic lasagna but also includes 8 variations including the above one with a caramel drizzle.
I really shouldn’t have created this post before I’ve had my dinner. I’m getting very hungry and even the meat trays are looking good right about now. 😆
Have a wonderful Halloween and if you have a party I sincerely hope I’ve helped put some ideas in front of you.
Until next time, stay inspired.
