Double Drum Pendant Light

My latest Goodwill find, a double lampshade. I must say I’ve never bought a lampshade at a thrift store before. Usually they’re kind of dated and I already have my own supply of dated lampshades.
I wasn’t even shopping for a lampshade but this one inspired me to make a new pendant.
If you have a suitable lampshade, pendants are easy. The only other thing you’ll need is a Westinghouse Mini-Pendant Kit. I found this one on Amazon for $16. Install as directed.
The way this pendant is supposed to work is that if you have a large enough hole on your shade, you would slide it up the stem then screw on and tighten the white piece just below the arrow. Where the arrow is pointing is where a normal shade would sit.
Check out my copper pendant light to see the pendant working the way it’s supposed to.
This shade just slides right over the wire and for some reason it seems to work.
Do you remember what’s behind the eye chart? There’s a ironing board hiding in there.
Before I leave you, I wanted to share this Meryl Pendant Light from Crate and Barrel. Mine was $24, $8 for the shade and $16 for the light kit. The pendant light from Crate and Barrel, $199.
Now I know what you’ll be looking for at the local Goodwill. Stay inspired.
