Dollar Store Halloween Skull Wreath

I don’t normally do too much decorating for Halloween. A pumpkin here, a mum there, maybe a centerpiece, but I do like to have a nice inviting wreath on the door for all those sweet little trick or treaters that come a knockin. Something that says, yes we celebrate Halloween here.
I was going to just put up my spider wreath from last year but when I was in the dollar store, these skulls just called out my name, along with the black netting and bony hands.
To save a trip to the craft store for another wreath, I just used the grapevine wreath from last year.
Just ripped that spider right off of there and the wreath was ready for a makeover.
The black netting was stretched over the grapevine wreath and secured in the back with a wire.
I thought the skulls were kind of yellow and the hands were kind of gray, so all got a light coat of white spray paint.
The skulls and the hands were wired onto the wreath next, followed by a nice rubber snake.
As an added touch, a few spiders were hot glued to the skull heads. Now it just screams.. WELCOME!!!
I have three boys, so of course I had snakes and spiders just sitting around the house.
To finish my Halloween decorating, I did get out the centerpiece I made last year.
Have a great week everyone, and I’ll see you back here on Thursday for another great diy. Stay inspired.

I love this wreath. Don’t you just love the Dollar store. I have been doing all kinds of things with the Dollar store skulls. I am glad I found your blog.
What a fun idea! I pinned it!
This is adorable! I love it, thank you so much for linking up at Friday Favorites!
Love this! Any tips for wiring the skulls and hands onto the wreath?
There are a couple of small holes drilled on the back of the skull. Thread a wire through the holes and twist it tight onto the grapevine wreath. For the hands, there is a thin wire wrapped around two of the fingers, again twisted tight onto the wreath. Hope this helps.
