Painted Side Table Redo
This is just a quick post to share one of my recent projects, a small side table in an upstairs hallway. The original color was actually a beautiful teal. I had nothing against the color except it didn’t match anything that I currently owned. Sorry to say, but I am very much a neutral shades kind-a-gal and it had to go. My go to color always seems to be black , at least for furniture. This table was not going to be the exception to the rule. Have you heard of the song “Paint it Black” by the Rolling Stones, well that is my theme song.
First painted the entire piece in two coats of a black semi-gloss. Where the raised portion of the door is, painted two more coats of a greenish taupe color. Drew on lines where I thought my zebra stripes should go and finished with my semi-gloss black paint.
I think it turned out kind of fun, a little departure from a plain color. Hope you like it!

Love the transformation. A sober black mixed with a bit of character. I would love for you to share this on Make It Monday – links are open until Wednesday. Just follow my web URL.
