I have a bunch of teenage nieces and nephews and they all like to receive money.  It’s always the perfect size and color.  One year we gave $ attached to ribbons and an umbrella.  Let it rain!!

Cut out a piece of cardboard the shape of a shirt and start taping.  Depending on how much you want to give, you can either use all $1’s or a combination with higher amounts.

From my ‘Gifts Kids can Make’ comes a set of 9 photo blocks which combine to form 6 pictures. Make sure you personalize the pictures.

Junky Pallet Wood Birdhouse diy

Another present my teenage boys made one year were birdhouses.  By raiding their moms pile of rusty junk and using pallet wood and discarded fencing they were able to create a dozen of these practically for free.

New baby in the family? How about a keepsake ornament  for all the aunts, uncles and grandparents.  Just wait until the baby is asleep before you start painting the toes.

This was another of my gifts that kids can make.  Combine all the spices to make a great bread dipping seasoning but while you’re at it you may want to make a batch for yourself.  We keep this around all year to not only add olive oil and use for bread dipping but also to sprinkle on baked vegetables.

A snowman kit is a fun kit for all the families with young kids, of course you have to live in a snowy area.  No more looking for rocks underneath the snow and stealing mom’s last carrot. Or if you’re like our family, we only have the mini carrots.
