Scavenging ideas in Strasburg, Virginia

Add to Flipboard Magazine.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Strasburg, Virginia and explore the Strasburg Emporium with my 2 sisters and daughter-in-law.  The Strasburg Emporium has 50,000 feet of shopping bliss and with lots of dealers, there was something for everyone… it was so easy to get lost in there for a couple of hours.  I only purchased one lonely cake pan for an upcoming project but took a few pictures for inspiration.

So, while I know you’re busy getting ready for Christmas, and have no time for any new projects, I’m showing you a few pictures for those upcoming cold January days when you are snowed in, your kids are driving you nuts and you  have cabin fever.  So feel free to pin for the future.

Shutter side table

This side table appears to be made from 2 shutters cut in half and a beautiful wooden top was added.

Coca cola crate coffee table, unique coffee table

A coffee table made from 4 coca-cola crates.  the top lifts up for storage.

Fishing bird house

They have a crafter there that makes a work of art out of multi-storied bird houses.  You name it, it can be stuck on a birdhouse.

Factory Cart table, Mine Cart table

This industrial factory cart has  been transformed into a sofa table.

Now that I’ve passed on my inspiration, it’s time to return to the cookbooks (and pinterest)  to figure out what the heck I’m serving for Christmas.
