The countdown to Christmas is coming fast but if you have a bunch of junk sitting around you may be able to whip these up in a couple of hours.
These candle holders started with a few things that I had dug up at a yard sale.
And a few pipes that I had literally dug up…yes they were at an old dump.
The terra cotta pipes were painted white. I used an interior semi gloss left over from painting the trim in my house.
When the white paint was dry, I taped off stripes and painted with a a soft gray color. This paint was leftover from painting my bedroom. I do like to use what I have.
The pipes were sanded gently with fine sandpaper just to bring out a little of the pipes age. Went over the pipes again with a light stain to give a little age.
My junky tops were washed and just placed on top … the candleholders were finished.
What I like about these is that they can be used any time of year as a focal point on the table. The only thing that makes them seasonal is the greenery.
Thanks for stopping by and may you all have the happiest of holidays.
